Booked a room at Vinpearl Resort and emailed the staff prior to departure to ask about the transportation arrangement (the confirmation email sent by Expedia with all the necessary details was attached) but the staff did not say anything about the room.
At check-in the staff provided the registration form to fill in but my gender, surname and first name were all wrong. Most importantly, the form showed the name of another hotel at Vinpearl instead of Vinpearl Resort. The staff still didn't explain anything until I asked her whether it was ok to fill in the form under another hotel. She then told me that Vinpearl Resort was under maintenance and had to arrange another room at another hotel for me. Why wouldn't any staff inform me of such important changes?
She also arranged a room with garden view only but the original booking was a room with sea view which costed more. Again, she didn't explain anything about this and I had to tell her to give me the same type of room I reserved.
On the way to the hotel I saw some guests on a golf car going towards the direction of Vinpearl Resort, and this hotel is still accepting reservations. I can't understand why my reservation had to be changed while Vinpearl Resort is still open for business.
