The front door of the hotel was locked and only accessible by room key at 11am, which differed from the hours noted on the sign. We had to press a button to be let in by the front desk staff person who didn’t greet us. Rather, he checked to see if our room was ready and proceeded to notify me of the $25 early check in charge- which was rather distasteful, but I agreed to pay it since I was there on a birthday trip for my mom. Upon entry to the room, I noticed a musty odor and the overall run down look, desperately in need of an update. There was a giant crack on the top of the fielding above the bars which was very apparent and the air conditioning unit was very loud and disruptive. The breakfast was also very disappointing. The “hot food” was cold, and the selection was awful! The elevators and hallways were also extremely overcrowded with constant staff and large carts, none of which were mindful of guests. My mom and I had to wait 10 minutes for the elevator because each time it arrived on our floor there was a staff person or persons loaded with carts, which was rather annoying because we were trying to simply go down one floor to check out. Overall this property was very outdated and I would not recommend it if you want to have a memorable experience in Seattle.
