I come from Chicago specifically to eat at Wolfgang's in Grand Rapids. Their hazelnut coffee and food are amazing. The Cheese Lady is also exquisite and delightful.

We drove down to check out the Lantern Festival at the zoo. It was wonderful! We ate at Yesterdog and Donkey super great food, service ect. Everything was fantastic, we were just disappointed in our hotel stay.
"This was an amazing hotel to stay in! The staff was kind, the breakfast was well stocked throughout the morning, and the pool was great! (The pool is a little cold, but it was nice after a long day!) Great location, it's close to everything!"
"Upon meeting with the person working the front desk, I knew the stay would be a great one. I feel bad that I don't remember her name, but I feel like she was one of the managers.
I went for my birthday trip and we checked in a day or two in advance of my birthday. Not only did she make it a point to wish me a happy birthday on the actual day, but she remembered small bits of the conversation we had during check-in. She recommended several areas for us to visit during the check-in process and then stopped me in the hall when she saw me later that same afternoon to tell me about more areas she thought we might like.
This type of service is almost impossible to find nowadays.
If I had to nitpick something, though, I would say that the breakfast options, although good, were a bit sparse for me personally. I can't have things with dairy in them, so having eggs with cheese as the main option with an alternative both days for biscuits and gravy doesn't help me. Cereal with milk and yogurt were options too, but I couldn't have those either. Because of that, I couldn't really eat anything significant on the last day other than just some bread and diced fruit. Other than that, I loved my time at this hotel and will definitely be back if I am in GR again in the future. "
