The room was very spacious and pleasant with a lovely view, but needs some updating. Housekeeping came every day but did very little. Towels had ragged edges and things like shampoo, conditioner and amenities that had been replenished daily on prior stays were not replaced unless you asked for it. The beach bar food changed a lot and “beach food” like chicken fingers were no longer available. We loved the beach bar on previous visits and barely went on this one. One of our favorite things about the hotel used to be the delicious breakfast enjoyed overlooking the ocean at the restaurant. Now, nobody is at the restaurant….so empty that we never knew if it was open or not. We did enjoy the Teppanyaki experience with friends and it was wonderful. The pool area is still lovely with lots of great places to enjoy the sunshine or shade yourself. We did not like all of the ropes blocking off the beach at all. We still like the hotel and it is a reasonable place to stay, but half of our vacation was listening to pounding outside our room as they continued their renovations…beginning at about 8:30 in the morning. We were told it would only be one day but it lasted more than a week. Even when we left 3 days early due to a funeral, the pounding was still going strong. Some of the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgable, and some just didn’t seem to care at all. It’s a shame because we had a much better experience staying there a few years ago and we loved that hotel.

The entire hotel. It’s not warm welcome. It’s cold. (Feels like a morgue) It’s not appealing. Suites are old. Lots of dead bugs behind the night table. They’re nothing no kettle, coffee or tea. Ice machine not in service. It’s not anything what’s on the website. Guest have to pay to use the beach amenities. Like any outside guest Understand it’s extremely central but it should be better than that.

La experiencia con las habitaciones deja mucho que decir, son habitaciones muy viejas y falta de mantenimiento. Me tuvieron que cambiar de habitación más sin embargo también la segunda habitaciones le faltaba cosas entre ellas focos fundidos. Las camas son cómodas la limpieza está bien pero la atención para resolver da mucho que pensar. Las personas que te reciben son los guardias ellos muy amables y serviciales buscando resolver. We traveled to Mexico in October and had an exceptional stay at this resort. The property is stunning, with beautifully designed outdoor pools and a beach bar that became our favorite place to unwind. The level of service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The culinary experience truly exceeded expectations. After a fishing trip, the chef prepared the wahoo we caught three different ways over two days, each dish better than the last. One evening, they even fired up the pizza oven at the beach bar and served gourmet pizzas poolside, which felt both indulgent and effortlessly relaxed. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience were superb. We would absolutely return.

The grounds are beautiful.The room was spacious but lacked a microwave or coffee maker. When we requested a coffee maker, we were told that they weren't provided and room service was not available. However, house keeping and wait staff were always friendly and accommodating. During a downpour there were no umbrellas available for us to borrow from the front desk. We were left with a bit of our sour note when we asked for our friends to visit who were staying nearby and we were told they would each have to pay a large fee. We were hoping to get a group rate as there were 10 of us but we were told the rates were as is. The hotel stood out as not accommodating and trying to be exclusive which in turn isolated it from more business. It was unfortunate that our friends could not join us so we joined them. The area offers so much to do that we enjoyed the local restaurants, shops, and pubs. The Oxo across from the hotel was a bonus as well.

We did not see much staff to help you around. They put us on the third floor with no elevator, which it wasn't very nice view, but the music by the pool was on most of the day and it was very annoying and loud. I didn't like it at all. It seemed like no one is around. No phone in the room is very odd through has not been upgraded they did upgrade some of the grounds. I don't know it used to be better. It's not as good now, but the room was OK.
