The hotel is close to the Eurostar Lille station. A park is also nearby. I had a relaxing walk in the park after having the buffet breakfast in the hotel. This made a good start of a day. The room is clean and spacious.

Great Hotel!
Mama Shelter was a great hotel to stay in, aimed at a younger crowd this hotel was fun and funky. Great atmosphere and decor. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

“Walking In My Shoes”
Used the hotel for one night stay to attend Depeche Mode gig and short exploration of the city. Easy location for the Eurostar terminal. My room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff at reception were welcoming and helpful.

Rooms were great. Staff in reception were friendly and welcoming. The staff in the restaurant and bar were not welcoming, with some exceptions - if you're a 20-something French person you'll get served quickly, if not, be prepared to sit for ages before someone will actually take your order. Also be prepared to catch their eye and for them to deliberately walk in other direction. As a, result, felt really uncomfortable sitting in the restaurant and in the terrace, so wouldn't recommend this.

Comfy stay
We had a noise issue on Saturday night, which the manager dealt with amazingly. I recommend asking to stay on a high floor on the park side to avoid the noise from their Saturday club night. The customer service at Mama Shelter is excellent. The rooms are warm and comfy. There is a mini fridge for your to store your own snacks and drinks. Eco friendly toiletries and high water pressure in the shower. The TV in the room has lots of free movies. The breakfast was pricey but there is lots of food so you can fill up to make up for the 20€. They had gluten free bread on the buffet. They will store your luggage if you have more sight seeing to do after check out. We recommended the HEIN restaurant in the nearby square.

Worst night's sleep in a hotel ever ... but hotel is lovely, staff were fantastic, clean, well kept modern room and bathroom, great breakfast buffet, lots of parking under/in hotel and right in city centre. We were so happy after we checked-in and went out in the city ... BUT ... we stayed on Saturday night and they have events in the bar and on the terrace. The night we stayed they had a DJ from 22:00 till 02:00. We were on floor 2 right above the disco and the music came through the floor! We could hear the beats and the chatter and laughs of people on the terrace. Sounded great fun but we were very tired and wanted to go to sleep at 22:00 but had to painfully wait 4 hours for the party to finish. We actually considered going to our car with pillows to get away from the noise. We were in room 203 but rooms around it on floor 2 must been equally badly affected by the noise. I would say a nightmare ... but you need to be asleep to have a nightmare and we got little sleep that night. We were due to stay 2 nights but we're so tired that we'd had enough and decided to go home! We were offered alternative rooms but the damage had already been done. So potentially a wonderful hotel but completely irresponsible to put people in rooms above the disco on nights they have a disco. Ruined our stay in Lille sadly.

Hotel usine dont le concept vieillit un peu Bousculade au petit-déjeuner, buffet vite dégarni et service débordé Parking trop petit qui vous oblige à trouver une place dans le quartier (en tachant d'éviter la fourrière comme ça nous est arrivé) Prix devenus prohibitifs eu égard à la qualité de la prestation proposée Bref, j'y séjournais tous les ans à Noël et je n'y retournerai plus
