No notification of closed amenities
The main pool was closed for two days for a private event. We booked this hotel for two nights in order to use the pool. They did not notify us at checkin that some of the resort amenities would be closed two of the three days. We still had to pay the entire resort fee without getting to use half of he resort.

Beautiful but $$$$$
The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are decent and in the process of being renovated. Double beds are a little bit of a disappointment. That’s a tight fit for two. EVERYTHING is ridiculously expensive. You’ll spend more to park your car than you did renting it. $75 for pizza, $20 for a small mixed drink, $100 for coffee and muffins in the morning. That was a deal though because we skipped out on the $55/person breakfast buffet. Get off resort as much as possible to eat or bring a huge food budget.

A beautiful facility, limited food options, horribly expensive. No mucrowave, a coffee maker that had to be moved to use due to no place to plug in and then it made terrible, weak coffee. Our "resort view" was a wall.

I love staying out at the Hilton because there are so many different options of things and activities to do and keep everyone entertained. I really enjoyed staying at the ocean tower. The newly remodeled side were very nice and our penthouse room was amazing.

Lovely property, long distance to rooms
Gorgeous location with nice property with large nice pools and a lagoon for snorkeling. Dolphins on the property are fun. Beds poor. Hair & dirt in the corners of the bathroom, but rest is decently clean. Towels changed daily with no option to re-use. Biggest issue is easily a 25 minute walk and/or tram ride between rooms & parking lot. Lots of extra charges for resort fee AND parking. Nearest town ~50 mile round trip to Kona-Kailua . I stayed for a conference at a nearby resort - it was a hassle. If you planned to just stay at the resort area, this would be lovely (tho pricey). Not recommended for people with mobility issues.

Experience at Waikoloa Ocean Tower
Stayed at Hilton Ocean Tower for a work-related conference. Our experience was overall good. The property has beautiful views and outdoor spaces. I found the service to be rather lackluster given the cost of food and drinks. Our room was clean and spacious, but definitely had some maintenance issues that we made note of so they could be addressed after check out. Great ocean view, nonetheless. We spent most of our free time enjoying the pools and outdoors, so was not a very big deal. Wish there was a hot tub nearer to here as it is a lengthy walk to the main pool.

Service level could be improved
The over stay was nice but information of events, times, where to go, places to eat, was pretty difficult to come by. Overall when I go to a report I would like to be able to by a drink and sit by the pool and this resort made that experience timeconsuming and difficult. I would have easily spent more on property had buying drinks been more enjoyable.
