Great location! Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. 5-10 minutes from Bus Tour stops, 10 min walk for metro station, 15 minutes to coliseum, etc. Again, great location!
Finding it might be very tricky. Look for a wooden door on the very right of the building; almost at the corner. On the right side of the door, there is a tiny buzzer that says Rione Monte Suites. (Street names are on the marble plaques 15 ft above the street on the corner of the building; at the intersection.)
As far as accommodations, they are ok.
Small rooms. Rather crowded. We stayed there in April and it was so humid in the room that nothing dried. Our towels were always wet. And they did not give us new towels until the 4th day of the stay and only because we just left them as a wet pile on the floor.
Slight mold in the bathroom, on the ceiling and in the shower.
The front desk attendant is there only 9:00-2:00, so if you need anything, make sure you are at the “hotel” at that time. We had daily tours booked, so we never had a chance to ask for our breakfast vouchers that they did not give us when we checked in.
Check out is at 10:00 am. If your flight is later in the day, you can leave your bags at the hotel, but have to pick them up before 2:00, because you’ll submit the keys at 10 and wouldn’t have a way to go back pick up the bags when the front desk attendant leaves.
Another great alternative is leaving your bags at the Bag Drop off location 5 minutes down the street. Use the app Bounce
