We enjoyed our visit to the castle with a very amusing knowledgeable guide. Also the playhouse is worth a visit for both the theatre and the cinema. We saw a live streaming from the National Theatre. Excellent. Tourist Information staff - excellent.

We love Alnwick as a town and visit often. There are lots of dining and entertainment options including The Plough for a good meal and Barter Books. Alnwick Castle and gardens are great for a visit and The Treehouse is wonderful for food.

Alnwick is absolutely lovely, I could ride the busses all day just for the views. Alnwick castle is definitely worth a visit and the nearby beach at Alnmouth is very tranquil.

Although parking was only 2 hours with a permit (hotel provided on arrival) there was a long stay parking just at the back of morrisons. The town itself is lovely, castle was closed because of the time of year. But station with books in,was fabulous.

Architecturally handsome stone-built town, home to Alnwick Castle. Large, excellent and quirky bookshop housed in a former railway station a few minutes' walk from White Swan hotel.

Primarily we visited for the castle which was superb. The area in general is beautiful and this was our first visit. We will be returning.
"The location of the hotel was incredible with Alnwick castle to the left of the entrance. The hotel has everything a person would want and need and is saturated in luxury. The staff were incredibly accommodating and I hope to come back. "
"Great place to stay, met by helpful friendly staff & most dog friendly place stayed in. Really clean & good food. Ate dinner on arrival & great eggs florentine for breakfast. Lovely to actually stay in the centre of Eyemouth with beautiful beach walks. "
"I chose the twin room, which was compact, but there were nice chairs to sit on, everything was spotless and the shower room was spacious and very clean. The staff were all very kind and friendly.
Internet was good too.
Sat Nav got me to outside the hotel, but the tiny lane to the back of the hotel was difficult to see as I was onnmy own. On my third drive round the one way system I gave up and found a parking place and just walked.
The food was tasty and well presented. "
"We stayed for our Anniversary trip and I booked the Olympic suite restaurant and wasn’t disappointed, fabulous food, wonderful attentive staff who couldn’t do enough for us , room was fantastic comfortable beds and pillows , bed was enormous, we had a bath and shower and tea making facilities, everything was within walking distance, lovely few days would certainly go back and a great choice , my only negative was parking which can spoil your experience and made arrival for us very stressful "
