Lack of facilities and a bit dirty.
My booking was for a Monday evening. When I checked in they told me that there is no food available on Monday evenings. This is not stated anywhere on the hotels.com listing and the hotel didn’t email me to tell me. I would have stopped somewhere else had I known. I also requested to pay onsite and yet my credit card was debited as soon as the booking was made. I queried that with hotels.com who never gave me an answer, when I checked in the hotel said to me that they saw I wanted to pay onsite so could they take my payment details, I had to show my credit card payments to show them that they had already charged me. Finally the room (which was super comfy) needed a good clean, there was substantial thick dust under the bed and the heated towel rail in the bathroom was extremely unclean. Such a shame as a location and setting this hotel has it all but I was sadly and badly let down.

Not luxurious
On arrival looked like the perfect location, there are two EV electric points which was handy for me to top up after a 2 hour drive. Check in was fast and easy. The room was not luxury in anyway so if you want luxury I would go elsewhere. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom needs to be cleaned better. The bedding had old stains on and there were wrappers left in drawers from previous customers.. staff were pleasant.

Comfortable and friendly
Very welcoming staff. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was basic.. Continental.. not great when you are gluten free Arrived back at hotel about 1020 soaking wet but bar, lounge etc. all closed no staff around so couldn’t get a hot drink and dry off before heading to room. Despite this it’s a lovely little place to stay

The setting for this property is beautiful. There are some really quirky features and would love to visit again in the summer when we could enjoy the garden. Bedrooms were well equipped and bed comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was served all on one rather small plate, would have preferred a roll rather than a croissant with my ham and cheese but nice selection of fruit. We had a meal at the property and this was enjoyable but would have liked more vegetables.

No food
No food available. No food on a Monday apparently, which as seen as place is in middle of nowhere, it would have been nice to be informed when booking. Then told breakfast is continental only with no choices!

interesting place
Very interesting place and a little confusing when the company that owns it doesn't have it on the website so cant see food menus etc. Arrival was ok after the sat nav tried taking us on a bridleway but all ok. Food menu was very limited but tasted ok for a Japanese style meal. That evening we were informed breakfast started at 8.30 which was a little too late in my opinion especially being on business as we had to get on the road around 8, but on check out the morning staff mentioned it started at 8 but we had already made plans. the pool is nice but needed cleaning. The pictures on the website make it look slightly nicer than it really is in person. value for money and I know we were near Marlow was probably on the high side as the hot drink facilities in the rooms were some of the worst I have seen in recent times and no real extras.

We needed on overnight stay to break up a journey. This place is perfect. Quiet, friendly and warm. Very comfortable room with a lot of effort to choose unique high quality furnishings. Great breakfast Would definitely stay again.

Lovely location but sadly lacking the luxury touch
Perfect location for where we needed to be and plenty of parking. Sadly for £180 a night lacking in those special touches that we'd expect for this price. A large comfortable room, but no different to other hotels charging a lot less. We asked for fresh milk for our room, as it had a fridge, it seemed a lot of effort to be given this, plus we wanted a few more (basic) tea bags than the 2 that were left. At this price per night we would expect fresh milk and high quality tea bags to be plentiful. It had an outdoor pool, but would have been nice to use accept for all the flies floating on the surface. The restaurant was closed, but no help to recommend any other places. Continental breakfast which was served to you at the table was good, but why not let us choose what we wanted from a buffet? Sadly lacking considering the price.

Overall good but some small improvements, no blind in bathroom, small mugs, no mirror light, charge for some biscuits, could be noisy if you pick wrong day as next to pub garden

Hidden little gem
My husband and I stayed for one night in one of the ‘crash pads’, was fab, easy check in/check out. Room was clean, bed was so comfy and beautiful soft, crisp clean sheets. Shower was excellent. Toiletries smelled amazing! And the free continental breakfast that came with the room was delicious, the lady who served us was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely be back. 😍
