This is an attractive, new boutique hotel on the quiet, western side of San Andres Island. The breakfast is excellent, the staff is very friendly, and the pool is lovely!
We enjoy walking so we did not mind walking about 25 minutes or more to the West End to eat supper. Also, you are supposed to be able to pay to eat at the outdoor lounge at the ‘Hotel On Vacation Blue Reef’ but our Spanish was not good enough for us to make this clear.
We did a night snorkel near the hotel and managed to see a lobster; however, the coral was lacking and/or too deep for snorkeling. Thus we would not recommend the snorkeling near here.
The pool is lovely; however, it is often booked with students learning to scuba dive.
However, one of the most important considerations is that there is only cold water.
