Beachfront Stay with Mixed Impressions
Check-in and check-out were efficient, though the luggage assistant left a poor impression—he gave me the wrong internet password and didn’t respond when I pointed it out. The apartment itself was showing its age, but it was clean, spacious, and generally comfortable. The rate seemed more about paying for the beach location than the condition of the property or the amenities, which felt a bit overpriced. I also had some safety concerns, as it seemed easy to access the apartment without a key, although I didn’t encounter any issues. Overall, it’s a place that may appeal to some but disappoint others, depending on expectations and perspective.

The place was not clean. The mattress was awful I can feel the springs. The staff were unpleasant and did not speak or understand English except for the receptionist Antonio. When I arrived I asked why I could not reach anyone because my flight was canceled due to weather and arrived a day late. He said they don't take phone calls only WhatsApp messages. I asked why the email I received from them had a number and it said to call anytime with questions but he did not bother to answer me. The bathroom smells like the sewer. When you dry after showering, the towels smell like sewers. After two days I checked out of that awful place and had to pay for an Airbnb in Bavaro to salvage our vacation. When we checked out early Antonio asked why and we told him he said he would file a case. We have heard nothing and they refuse to issue a refund.

DONT STAY I REPEAT DONT STAY HERE!!!!!! They will ROB you when you sleep ITS NOT SAFE!!! First off the gate is broken throughout the one side where its supposed to be Second there is no real security guards and the cameras are broken NOT SAFE We stood at this place 4 days out of the 7 days by the 4th day someone opened all 3 of my windows and attempted to get in our villa while we slept thank god my kids had been awake and woke me up he seen we came out ready to fight and he ran off behind the gate god only knows he was seconds before entering our villa because 3 other villas behind us was broken into while the families slept and all their belongings was taken I spoke to one of the family’s that was robbed and the scariest part was how comfortable the thief was to take items that was right at their bedside the worst part about they had young children anything could had went wrong there is no real security they hire temporary agency and they don’t do nothing but sleep on the job cops wasn’t called and this was happening between 11-1:30 am around 1:30 my villa got opened when I ran to the office it was closed till 8am I stood up that whole night waiting to speak to someone and they finally called the cops and they took about 2 hrs to show up and a statement was said it wasn’t the first time this year and I also seen a review after this happened that the same thing happened a day before we arrived and if I would of seen it I wouldn’t had stood there ITS A NO!!

The location of this property is perfect. Literally walking distance to the beach. Perfect location. Very nice exterior of property also. Very scenic. Thr location is excellent because there are a ton of dinning options around the way. Shops, laundry mat, etc. everything you need is in the area. But the room/suite was sub par. The fans where janky. I was scared to turn one on because it would shake like it could fall off. The room safe was rusty and wouldn't work. There was no microwave in the room. There was stains everywhere on the towels and bed cushions. So the location was great but the room was sub par. The staff were very nice and helpful and the on site hotel security made me feel safe.

This property is not well maintained. Some of the ACs did not work. There is a construction next door and the dust goes into the apartments. Also there is loud noises early morning. Streets are muddy. I do not recommend.

It is close to the beach that is the only good thing. The rooms are too old, buildings are not marked clearly.the roads are very bad in condition. It is very noisy due to construction there is no peace in the room. And the room isn't luxurious and it is too old.

Awful hotel and service
The hotel was horrible. They robbed me on the middle in the night while I was sleeping. The people at the hotel were rude and didn’t support when I reported the incident until I called the US Embassy. The only thing they said that I need to go to the police station and file the report. I told them that didn’t have any cash for a taxi and they didn’t offered help. I left the hotel the same day and they didnt want to refund the money for the rest of the nights. I was traumatized with the incident and wasn’t able to eat the whole day. I needed to look for another hotel and paid extra money to move from this hotel. Besides all these the hotel charged me for electricity. I paid 21.50 for the whole stay, plus 10 dls extra because I arrived late after 8 pm. I won’t recommend this hotel at all because when I went to the Police Station to file a report the incident they told me that this wasn’t the first time they had a robbery report.
