We booked the "Deluxe Room" for $30-$50 above the base rate because it had a king-size bed and a mountain view. We paid extra since smaller beds make it difficult for us to sleep. We also chose this hotel because it included Wi-Fi, which we needed for work. Upon arrival, we were given a room with a full-size bed and a window facing the hotel’s interior. The thin curtains didn’t block the light, allowing people to see inside when the lights were on. The room was also damp. After reviewing our reservation, we realized we were in an "Economy Room," not the Deluxe Room we had booked. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, the manager insisted the room was correct and refused to make changes. She claimed the bed was a king, but after I explained a king bed is 2m x 2m, she admitted it wasn’t. However, she said nothing could be done, as all rooms were occupied, and denied our refund request. The next day, we were moved to a room with a king bed, but it still faced the interior and had the same see-through curtains. We never got the mountain view we paid for. We contacted Expedia for a refund, but the hotel refused. Fortunately, Expedia gave us points for future bookings. To make things worse, there was no Wi-Fi during our stay, and cell reception didn’t reach the rooms. In summary: We didn’t get the room we reserved. The hotel refused a refund. No Wi-Fi. Damp rooms with little privacy.

Great Stay!
We had a great stay at Posada el Antaño. It was exactly what we were looking for. Did the wifi always work perfectly? No. Was it warmer than this Montana guy preferred? Yes, but all in all it was great! I would go back again!

This place truly needs a makeover. We stayed here because they were the only ones with one bed available on Good Friday. The lady who took care of us keep insisting that we give her a 5-star review, it was very annoying. The breakfast is good.

Charming cozy hotel with great service
Hotel is simply charming and very comfortable. It is centrally located - just around the block from Arco de Santa Catalina. The staff are very attentive and hospitable to any request. Jenny, the person in the front office gave us great service with our breakfast, any questions we had about the city, and helped us when my mother felt sick. The housekeepers, Sylvia and Cindy, made sure our rooms were clean, tidy and made up. I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Antigua

Posada el Antano is a terrific place to stay in Antigua. It is clean, quiet and the beds are very comfortable. The entire staff went out of their way to make sure we were well cared for during the 3 days we stayed. I had booked 5 hotel rooms and everyone in our group loved the convenience of the location, the quality of the free breakfast and the smiles and kindness of the staff. Book this hotel if you are coming to Guatemala - you will be glad you did. Also if you are reading reviews on this hotel please note I had a glitch on a previous review where I accidentally hit send and it showed up as a 1 star review. PLEASE disregard that. This hotel is a 5 star place to stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The place is beautiful and has a wonderful view of the Agua volcano. Rooms were nice and spacious, and were kept very clean by Silvia. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was also nice, with a big shower. There's also a gorgeous sitting room, the perfect spot to sit down and read a book or write an email or two after a day of walking around. I really loved my stay at this nice, cozy hotel. Sheny is the life of the place; she helped us with our requests, and made sure our stay was absolutely wonderful. Sheny is very polite and friendly, and will go the extra mile to make the the guests feel special. Her and Silvia make the place the jewel it is, right in the best part of beautiful Antigua Guatemala. It's wonderful to be close to so many nice dining options, the central park and market, the Santa Catarina arch and church, and the Cerro de la Cruz.

Silvia, la señora que hace la limpieza es servicial y hace un buen trabajo manteniendo las habitaciones limpias y listas para recibirte.

It was nothing bad in the hotel at self the hotel is really chilly and a nice spot. Surring by party people and the fire work bombs which were shot because of what ever reason at 5 am the church bell rings ya out of bed.
