The location is great, right next to the subway entrance, and Ameya-Yokocho is nearby for shopping. The downside is that the pillow was too hard for me.

Reliable and accessible in Ueno
Sotetsu Fresa Inn is as usual very reliable and easy. The location was perfect and with many transportation opportunities close by. The room was typical Japanese size. The only thing that annoyed me was the fact the cleaning service would not make your bed if you have anything on your bed, though the hotel informed this policy on a piece of paper, but there were so many different papers and pamphlets, its not easy to notice every single detail. I forgot to remove my sleepwear and usually the cleaning personal would just put it on the chair, but came back to a unmade bed.

The hotel has a restaurant called Cababre and when you get breakfast everyday when you add it to your booking. They only have limited choice for breakfast though. They also have exchange currency inside the restaurant. Really convenient. Location is really close to everything! Room is small but expected to Japan size of rooms.

Great Stay in Ueno
Clean, efficient, and comfortable despite its relatively small size room. However, as long as you do not bring tons of suitcases, you should be fine. Location is great especially if you travel to Ueno from Narita Airport by the Keisei train line whose station is only about 5 minute walk from the hotel.
