Don’t go here !!!
100% terrible. We arrived. Picture are from many years ago. OK. Whatever. At the front desk and were asked to wait because they were discussing something. Yes… they were. They were discussing other guest complaints about the blankets, and that they thought that was “stupid”. All in front of us while we were waiting to check in. That was not a good (a very bad) first impression. In the end we just left and.booked another hotel. Really… I’ve travelled around the world, saw many cultures and many countries. This is just bad. No matter what angle you look at it.

Not as close to downtown as I thought. Towels and sheets old and thin. Staff very nice but didn’t speak much English. No facecloths or hand towels. Pool was nice. Limited dining? Umm noodles?? No dining. Had lots of hot water for showers but no bathmat so floors got very wet and slippery.

Cozy, quiet and private.
The place is private, quiet and comfortable. A little bit outdated, but everything work!. Remains me of a "mom and pop" bed and breakfast kinda a deal. Friendly staff and they have a snack bar 24/7.

The pool was nice and well-kept. Room and beds were comfortable. Base of toilet was leaky, so floor was often wet around it. Staff were apathetic. At one point they had mopped the hallway outside our room at a high-traffic hour and left no warning signs that the floor was wet. My partner exited the room and slipped, falling on the concrete. Her complaints that she was hurt by the fall were met with a shrug.

Disappointing
Hotel was in a good location, about a 10min walk to the main city centre. They also have a good pool for guests to use (although they could really do with separating this from the hotel car park). Unfortunately we arrived back late on our first night to discover a lot of hairs in our bed so we can only assume the beds were not changed (on both beds in the room). We had to request for them to change them next morning and the receptionist did not even apologise that this has happened. There was no filtered water available for guests, only bottled water to purchase in reception.

Not the 21st century
I checked in here because my preferred hotel was booked up and they suggested this one, as it is affiliated. My initial feeling about the hotel was that it was very much outdated and desperately needed the rooms, flooring and bedding upgraded. The staff were very nice and I appreciate that. It turns out that due to spontaneous circumstances, I did not stay either of the two nights. But as I wrote, the rooms need updating.

Good deal
For the price, it was a good hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable and the location was good for me. Good for a budget hotel. There wasn't anything much to complain about, but there were a couple things that made it far from "perfect" that you'd expect from a more luxury hotel. The wall electric plug near the bed didn't work. So, I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. Not ideal. The TV was small. I turned it on and could raise or lower the volume, but I couldn't change any stations with the remote. Maybe they only have 1 channel, maybe those buttons on the remote didn't work, maybe it was user error... idk The sun rises early and in December was shining at the "pool view" room I was in. The blinds were not thick enough to block the light, so I was awake far earlier than I would like.

Avoid room 101
We asked to see a room before we booked to avoid bad hotels it's a good thing to do in Mexico at this price range. So they showed room 101 and it's right next to the reception so loud voices and phone calls late at night and early in the morning!
