Quiet, no traffic noise. Lots of street food a block away. Walkable.
Minor plumbing issue. Facility not in optimal shape.

King size bed in quiet room and friendly staff
The hotel staff were tremendously friendly and helpful
The breakfast was yummy
Coffee was instant as is the custom in 3 star hotels here
We received a free upgrade and had a very comfortable king size bed (which is not readily available here)
The A/C worked great
We had a refrigerator in the room
The location is about a 10-15 minute walk to the South Gate is the old city through a residential-commercial area with other small hotels and shops and restaurants- although the sidewalks are not great - but that can be said for most of Chiang Mai
Ultimately I think it was a fair price and I would stay there again

Nice quiet hotel
I'd stay for 5 days ato the hotel. The room was nice but the hotel was very humid and poorly ventilated. The room had a very strong odor in it;and when I'd informed the staff, they just told me to turn the bathroom vent fan on for 5 minutes.Overall the stay wasn't bad but the hotel could use some maintenence.

Okay place to stay in Chiang Mai
Spent 5 nights there. As other reviewers have said, it's a bit out of the way but you can still get to town within about 15 mins. One thing I didn't enjoy is that the hotel, quite frankly, stunk a bit. I woke up the first morning and noticed it and, although not as strong, it continued throughout the duration of the stay. Not sure if they were having a bit of a problem with their sewage system or not but it made the stay less enjoyable. However, the rooms are well laid out and by Thai standards, the bed was very comfortable.

Great little hotel with amazing staff
A very nice hotel in a quiet part of town. Was about a 10 minute walk to the southern gate but there were plenty of food stops and other shops along the way. We also hired a bike which made things a little easier.
The room was lovely and the staff some of the friendliest I have ever met. Would defiantly stay again.

Excellent Hotel
I had an excellent time here. Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast is very good and freshly prepared. Aircon worked well and was quiet. The area is more of a local area, and a 10 min walk to old town. In room snacks/drinks are almost at store prices.

Quiet hotel just outside of city
Walking distance to city gate but you feel further out. Clean and quiet hotel. Bathroom configuration a little odd but it's all there. Staff most helpful .

wow, loved this hotel, just what i was looking for
yes this hotel is a little out of the way, but it's well worth it. newly built- only about a year old. they have not cut corners and you can tell a lot of money has been spent on the furnishings. the staff were very nice and helpful. welcome drink on arrival and greeted warmly. there is car and motorbike parking around the back. the room was perfect, i'd rate at least 4 star quality. the bed was very comfortable, with 4 good pillows and 2 cushions. led tv with a few english speaking film, news and entertainment channels. big fridge with very chep mini-bar - all the snacks/drinks were same price as 7-11!! the shower is fitted with a big rain shower and removable smaller shower head. bathroom very clean and provides basic soaps. the complimentary breakfast in the morning was individually cooked and very nice. a lot too eat. the imediate local area is all authentic thai, with a nearby market and a lot of shops and mobile stalls selling very cheap food and drink. there is a 7-11 just a couple of minutes walk away. very good value for money, a great nights sleep and didn;t want to check out! my advise would be rent a motorbike and ride there (only 5mins from town centre)- then the location is fine,, the bonus is it's nice and quiet too!

Good and not so good depending on the room.
I stayed here with my husband and two daughters. My husband and I had a nice room spacious room with air conditioning (deluxe) but the girls weren't too happy with their room (standard) as the bathroom / toilet didn't smell too good and they had to keep the door closed. Their room was quite small. The breakfast was a bit dismal as the eggs were cold unless you asked the staff to light the flame under the hot box. There was some fruit and yoghurt and some toast. Staff were quite helpful if you asked for assistance.

Clean, friendly hotel.
Jasmine is in a quiet neighborhood about 3/4 mile from the Chiangmai Gate. If you want night entertainment, this is not the place for you. It's a good daily walk to the Old City. Near Kad Kom Market.

Fantastic hotel
Fantastic boutique hotel, clean bedrooms and friendly staff. Very new hotel. Breakfast was good, although it didn't have a large selection of items like other larger hotels, which is understandable. Location was OK for us, it took around 20/25 min to walk to the Chiang Mai gate. The only issue we had was that, although it is nice having a large fridge in the room, it can be a little noisy at night.

My ideal hotel in Chiang Mai.
The hotel staff was congenial and happy to help out, even showing me where to get my clothes taken in.
Their attitudes made this nice hotel even better.
Breakfast was attractively presented with many choices. Omelettes cooked on demand as were the fried noodles w/
vegetables and egg. You can request your preferences.
After a day hiking through the muggy streets of Chiang Mai, the Jasmine Boutique Hotel was a cool and welcome haven.
There would be cold water in my fridge when I got back. A blessing in hot weather. And it is quiet and peaceful.
