Better than we originally thought, overall very kind people too who are speaking good English, still its a busy place as a tourist having a driver does help to get around if time is limited . We were extremely fortunate to find a great driver.

Tuk tuks are very cheap and easy to obtain. You don't have to hail one and they find you. The ones I used had meters but best check they know where the destination is. I had to put Google maps up on the driver's phone but that worked fine.
