Kathmandu to me is mystic, a way of life from another time, a time gone by in other parts of the world. People have little but they still smile, walk tall, clothes whatever they have clean and neat. A good lesson, we who have so much and want more.

I love Kathmandu, it is unlike any other place. Beautiful temples, great food, and beautiful Himalayas surround the valley. I did Peace Corps there 40 years ago and keep going back!

Very exciting place to visit with the colourful houses and bustling streets. Just be aware that the traffic is crazy and air pollution can be off the scale

Very clean, and many spots to visit, specially if you are into spiritual sights. One visit was not enough.

We had a great tour operator who tailored a day trip to see the sunrise and trek back just for 2 people. Next to Rosemary's kitchen. Though incredibly busy we never felt unsafe. Everyone so helpful and kind. Good food. Unforgettable experience.

Kathmandu remains a place where you can still lose yourself, where people greet you with genuine respect and gentleness.
"Amazing hotel. Very beautiful and the staff were all amazing. Very helpful to all my needs and they all speak English which is a plus for me. Breakfast was amazing.
Will book it again. The bed was so good too! "
"This place is an oasis at the center of buzzing Kathmandu. Close proximity to the airport is a bonus. You can of course stay at the western chains but if you wish to immerse yourself in Nepalese culture while having the perks of a 4/5 star hotel, this is the place to be. Don’t forget to dine at the excellent Nepalese restaurant. "
"Brand new hotel in Tinchuli near Boudhanath, very modern facility, great rooms with diverse layouts nicely accomodating both groups and solo travelers. Wonderful local neighborhood to explore and enjoy the activity around Boudha stupa. Hotel Sherpani is same quality as the big 4 star brand hotels I've stayed in ktm, but with more local culture. Hotel Sherpani rates are a great value in comparison as well. Love the top floor restaurant/terrace/chill area, my favorite view in ktm. Highly recommend."
