It is a very beautiful place to be: comfortable, peaceful and with amazing views. However, it does seem to have a bit of an identity crisis! We really wanted somewhere where we could do some self-catering, and Vigles' website does claim that its rooms have "well-equipped kitchenettes". In fact there was a fridge, a sink, 6 plates and 3 bowls. No cups or glasses, no kettle or cooking ring. So we couldn't even make a cup of tea. We were told that it was being transformed into a hotel, but the sign outside states "Vigles Apartments" and don't hotel rooms always have a couple of drinking glasses? And don't hotels serve meals apart from breakfast and snacks? In reality it seems to be becoming a B and B, with coffee and beer at hotel prices.
Next time we'll take at travel kettle, and eat all our meals at the fabulous Agnadio Taverna, 5 minutes walk down the road!
