Loved my stay here! Large, comfy room with a great shower, the little kitchen equipped with everything I needed, and next to all the shops you could possibly need. You can tell it's been freshly decorated and upgraded. I would absolutely stay here again .

We had a great stay at The Jam Jar whilst in town for a wedding. We stayed in a studio room which was decorated to a great standard, and slept well in a comfy bed. Staff were attentive to any needs we had. Location is great too, very close to all sorts of shops, restaurants, bars etc. Parking on site is very limited, so definitely explore alternatives if thinking of staying here; especially if there’s any events on in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Pros - helpful and friendly check in, great tea tray, big tv and massive choice of channels, comfy big bed, fan already in the room. Cons - limited parking (4 spots) on first come first served basis, located in student area so lots of activity but depending on your age that might be a Pro (lol)

The room was lovely and had everything I needed. Everything was spotless. There was shampoo, conditioner etc. The main downside was noise. The Jam Jar bar/cafe below was very busy on the Friday and Saturday nights I was there, with music and people having a drink outside on the street. If you are a night owl and planning on being out late and getting up late (brunch from 10:00) I think you will be very happy there. If you prefer to head to bed a bit earlier and want breakfast earlier than 10:00 then it may work less well. That said, there is a Cafe Nero just across the street which opens at 07:00 which is what I did.

Lovely, modern, comfortable room and a perfect base for my son’s graduation. Staff were great. Would have given five stars, but the parking situation was disappointing. One of the reasons I booked was that the hotel advertised parking and I know that parking in Jesmond is hard to come by without paying NCP prices, however, when we arrived the parking was full. We ended parking a 30-minute walk away. If more parking was available, it would have been five stars for sure.
