There's nothing quite like arriving after a 16-hour trip to find your toilet overflow upon first flush. This, combined with a shower that did not drain made my first, crucial night a (dirty) watery mess. The last two days we had no hot water either. The staff did try to remedy the problem numerous times, but without any apology or offer to change my room or amend my bill, etc. The staff spoke virtually no English, and did not respond very well to my Chinese either. Generally, the place was run-down, hard for taxi drivers to find, but on the upside the location was pretty central (if not prominent), and the price was unbeatable. I think it serves as an hourly rate "intimacy" hotel (there was a choice of products for sale in the room, and an hourly rate posted, as well as a call girl's calling card slipped under my door the first night). It's fair to say you get what you pay for.
