As several other guests have mentioned in their reviews, this hotel unilaterally cancels guests’ reservations.
Due to a flight delay, I arrived at the hotel at around 1:30 a.m. I told the reception staff that I had made a reservation through Expedia. They asked me to wait for a moment, and the two male staff members at the reception began discussing something between themselves.
After a while, they told me that my accommodation had not been fully paid for and that I needed to pay the remaining amount. I explained that part of the reservation had already been charged to my credit card and that there was a remaining amount that was supposed to be paid at the property.
They then told me that they worked with another hotel and that I should stay there instead. I asked them directly, “Does this mean you have overbooked the hotel and there is no room available for me?” They did not give me a clear answer. Instead, with an extremely dismissive and unhelpful attitude, they simply told me to go to the other hotel. After that, their explanation changed, and they claimed that the room could not be used because of a water leak.
They instructed me to go to what they described as their “partner hotel.” They clearly assured me that the cost of staying at the other hotel and the taxi fare to get there would be covered by them, and that I would not incur any additional costs because of this change.
