What a wonderful , enchanted place it is. Fresh fragrant air, singing birds, picturesque and romantic ruins of the medieval castle, romans build chirch dated around 1100 and perfectly operational. I found myself wondering in the narrow streets of medieval hamlet , some houses restored, some waiting to be restored. I felt submerged in the history. It was priceless to take long walks on mounting roads instead of spending hours in the gym. This place has great swimming pool, impeccably maintained grounds , comfortable beds, a nice size kitchen and a personal terrace with a unforgettable vistas to rest your eyes on. I was buying autentic local produce in the little markets and making simple breakfasts: fresh crunchy village breads, sheppards made cheese, eggs with brite orange yolks, new season olive oil , red leaves salads and tomatoes testing like real tomatoes. I was lucky to meet Andrea and his father Stefano, the owners of the Rocca di PierleDi . They were really taking care of me. Stefano is a Florence University alumni , when I mentioned that I am planning to go to Florence he Volonteerd to accompany my there. He made the best guide, and I had the best tour of the city with guy who was telling me how it was 20 -30 years ago. I received all the tips from Stefano: where to eat, to go, to buy, he was my adviser, my interpreter, and manager, who was making all my reservations and my Italian language teacher. Well I love every day there, and will go back hands down.
