Batu Bolong
Batu Bolong blends beachside bliss with bohemian energy at Bali's hippest coastal hangout. Surfers ride waves at the namesake beach while digital nomads tap away in stylish cafes. The ancient temple perched on rocky cliffs offers a cultural counterpoint to trendy beach clubs where sunset-chasers gather daily. Yoga sessions between rice paddies remind you this isn't just any beach town. Finding your perfect spot is easy with options from $3 warung meals to farm-to-table dining. Scooter rentals are the transport of choice, though the core area works for walking despite uneven paths. Accommodation range from surf hostels to luxury villas, many featuring pools and co-working spaces.

Ride the legendary waves at Echo Beach, where surfers of all levels catch breaks against a backdrop of volcanic sand. Digital nomads tap away at laptops in bamboo-built cafes serving acai bowls and flat whites with equal reverence. Rice paddies still stubbornly persist between yoga studios and beach clubs where sunset sessions blend into night with international DJs. Batu Bolong Beach offers gentler surf for beginners before rewarding efforts with beachfront tacos. The once-sleepy village now pulses with an international crowd seeking the perfect balance of wellness and nightlife. Berawa Beach's black sand provides dramatic contrast to colourful beach umbrellas, while nearby Tanah Lot temple sits majestically offshore, proving that sacred and social can coexist beautifully.

FRii Bali Echo Beach
"It’s one of the best hotels for the price and the location is amazing if you are living in Canggu. Everywhere you can walk."
Sunny Muse by Betterplace
"Super belle hôtel"
Canggu Cabana Beach Resort by Ini Vie Hospitality
"Absolutely beautiful hotel in a quiet location - but close enough to lots of great bars/restaurants and the beach. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff are absolutely exceptional and made the stay completely fabulous. The only thing to note is that there are a lot of stairs (eg. from bedroom to bathroom, but also around the complex) so it wouldn't necessarily be suitable for anyone with mobility issues."
The Soul House Bali
"highly recommend staying here - we loved everything about our stay. the staff so friendly & helpful, great communication & nothing a problem for them. great location, comfortable rooms & beautiful property. cant wait to stay there again"
Ecosfera Hotel

Solaya Villas Canggu
"Solo traveller. Staff were great and are very friendly. 24/7 security guard / one entry and exit. Great location very quiet (no construction noise heard and the villa was amazing."
the den canggu
"We absolutely loved our stay at The Den Hotel in Canggu. The location couldn’t be better—right off the main road, just a 5-minute walk to Old Man’s Beach and less than 2 minutes to Luigi’s, so everything you need is right on your doorstep. The rooms were incredibly spacious, spotless, and felt brand new. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was just as impressive—large, clean, and well-designed. We stayed in a balcony room, which was a highlight. The deck was perfect for relaxing and enjoying some downtime. The pool area was also beautiful and very well maintained. It was really quiet during our stay, which made it feel like we had the whole place to ourselves—such a peaceful and relaxing vibe. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend The Den to anyone visiting Canggu! "

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Canggu
- Book for the cheapest times: Visiting Canggu on a budget can be a delight, particularly during February, March, and November when hotel rates may drop to lower prices. For those seeking great value for money, a stay of at least 4 to 5 days is ideal to fully explore the rich cultural attractions and significant landmarks, from temples and yoga centres to beaches offering surfing, relaxing, and breathtaking sunsets. This affordable destination provides an excellent opportunity to experience the region's history and natural beauty without breaking the bank.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for hotels in Canggu, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find enticing discounts as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you’re more likely to seize opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. With notifications for price drops or room availability, you could be ready to book your last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you find a more favourable rate for your stay at a hotel in Canggu. If you're seeking a unique experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we might suggest alternative dates that could potentially offer a better rate.
- Consider your location: Hotels in close proximity to the city centre generally cost more, but thanks to Canggu's excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel a little further afield that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
