Ploce
Ploce offers a peaceful retreat from Dubrovnik's busy Old Town while keeping you within a 15-minute stroll of the action. This upscale area boasts stunning Adriatic Sea panoramas, with Banje Beach and coastal paths perfect for scenic morning walks. Art lovers can explore the Museum of Modern Art housed in a Renaissance villa, while history buffs will appreciate the ancient stone archways of Ploce Gate. The area features luxury hotels and private villas with infinity pools and terraced restaurants serving Mediterranean cuisine with spectacular ocean views. Getting around is easiest on foot despite the steep terrain, though taxis and hotel shuttles are readily available for those looking to save their energy for exploring.

Dubrovnik Old Town
Dubrovnik Old Town's limestone-paved streets reveal centuries of history with every step. Wander through this UNESCO World Heritage site where medieval walls embrace baroque churches, Gothic monasteries, and Renaissance palaces. The gleaming marble Stradun becomes magical at dusk when ancient lamps illuminate architectural treasures like Rector's Palace and Sponza Palace. The entirely pedestrian zone buzzes with restaurants serving fresh Adriatic seafood on terraces overlooking historic squares. Boutique hotels in converted palaces offer luxury amid authentic medieval surroundings. Getting around requires comfortable shoes as you'll navigate narrow alleys, stone steps, and uneven surfaces throughout this car-free historical gem.

Babin Kuk
Babin Kuk serves up stunning beaches with a side of pine forest serenity just outside Dubrovnik's Old Town. Wander from your resort along the Lapad Bay promenade for killer sunset views or take a dip at Copacabana Beach with its distinctive concrete platforms. The peninsula's interior hides gorgeous walking trails that lead to secret coves and breathtaking Adriatic panoramas. Hotel restaurants dominate the food scene with Croatian specialities and international options. Buses run to Old Town every half hour, though the hilly terrain makes exploring on foot a workout worth the views. Most visitors stay in the upscale Valamar hotels that dot the coastline, trading authentic local vibes for resort comfort.

Lapad
Lapad's stunning beaches are the main draw in this coastal Dubrovnik area. Stroll along the tree-lined waterfront promenade and take in those dreamy Adriatic views between dips in the turquoise waters. The peninsula offers plenty of swimming spots, from popular Lapad Beach to the more upscale Copacabana Beach, both perfect for soaking up that Mediterranean sunshine. Fresh seafood dominates the menus at waterfront restaurants where you can watch the sunset with a glass of Croatian wine. Hotels range from mid-range to luxury, with many offering pools and beach access. Frequent city buses connect to Old Town in just 15 minutes, making day trips a breeze.

Dubrovnik's Pile neighbourhood is known for its castles and offers lots of things to see, such as Lovrijenac Fort and Šulić Beach.

Rixos Premium Dubrovnik
"Amazing stuff Amazing breakfasts"
Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik
"Great hotel, with a great manager involved in every detail. Unbelievable views over the Adriatic from rooms, lobby and dining. Fabulous Michelin restaurant – – almost no reason to eat anywhere else. Super staff, nice walk to the old town city – – and cheap Uber back. 5 stars. One item of note to set expectations- the hotel has its own private beach deck – – but the beach itself is public and very crowded in August."
Sun Gardens Dubrovnik
"Very helpful staff, clean swimming pools and quiet environment. Excellent breakfast with variety of choices."
Hotel Royal Ariston
"Very clean room All staff helpful The best breakfast Beautiful balcony Totally i recommend this hotel"
Hotel Sumratin
"What started as a very stressful situation turned into the most magical holiday! We were moved to this hotel after our original booking unfortunately had no check-in details and appeared to have been double-booked. Expedia told us we couldn’t check in until 3pm, and as it was around 4am, we decided to walk for an hour to the hotel just to see if there was anything they could do. To our huge relief, our room happened to be ready, meaning we could finally get some much-needed sleep. From that moment, everything completely changed. The hotel was immaculately clean and had such a beautiful, fresh smell throughout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast buffet had a fantastic range of choices, and the pool and loungers were absolutely beautiful in the warm sunshine. The food from the pool bar and the bakery next door was delicious, and every member of staff was warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful. To make our stay even more special, it was my partner’s birthday during the holiday. The hotel kindly left him a little chocolate heart mousse and a lovely birthday note signed by the executive. Such a thoughtful touch that meant so much to us. What began as a complete disaster ended up becoming one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. We’re so grateful to the hotel and its wonderful team for making our stay so memorable. We would absolutely return! ❤️"
Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik
"Excellent hotel. Would stay there again."
Hotel Royal Neptun
"great location, breakfest very good, views awsome. great staff friendly and helpful. would stay again. recomend"
Valamar Tirena Hotel
"Breakfast is very good with a lot of choices. Rooms are small but cozy. Hotel is meant for families with small children."
Hotel Lero
"The rooms were comfortable and clean. We had to leave early and they prepared a great boxed breakfast. The rooms have a nice device for drying clothes. The shower pressure was great! They gave us a free bottle of Merlot, which my girlfriend said was great. FYI - we used Uber for the airport and Uber was wrong - they picked a spot in Old Town (before we started the ride, we asked since the fare seemed low) - so we tried again and it worked."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Dubrovnik
- Book for the cheapest times: Dubrovnik is a destination that offers great value for money, especially on a budget. For those seeking an affordable trip, visiting in February, March, or November may result in lower prices and the possibility of a price drop. For a well-rounded experience, an itinerary of at least 3 to 4 days is advisable to fully appreciate the city's rich history, striking architecture, and renowned UNESCO sites, as well as its charming port and marina. This budget-friendly getaway is perfect for exploring key landmarks and immersing oneself in the cultural heritage of this historic city.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: You may discover attractive offers to Dubrovnik by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. For last-minute escapes, consider checking the Last-Minute Deals area, where discounted rooms near your travel date could be available. Enable email alerts or push notifications to stay informed of special promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, increasing the likelihood of finding a beneficial last-minute getaway. While this method may be useful for securing neretva cheap hotels, always verify details before booking.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating and time of year, so having flexibility with your dates may help you save on your stay in a Dubrovnik hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels may provide a more personalised service and occasionally offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, yet thanks to Dubrovnik’s excellent public transport connections, you may find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well linked. For those wishing to explore alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often exceptional value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
