Beautiful older hotel with comfortable facilities
We stayed in the room that is pictured to promote the hotel. The old tiles and tasteful decoration are what made the stay very comfortable. We would stay in the same hotel again.

Amazing property
The hotel is located up in the hills, in a quiet neighborhood, above the north side of Malaga. It's not in walking-distance of the city center, but on a nice day it can be a fun walk! You just can't beat the price, service and charm of this 8-room small chateau built on the site of the remnants of an old castle, with gorgeous grounds and views! Did I mention free wifi and parking right outside the check-in/lobby area?

Amazing old Spanish Castle with incredible views!
Fantastic. A little hard to find the first time. Maybe they need to provide instructions in their booking.

Unusal but comfortable hotel
We only stayed one night before our flight back to the UK. Unusual hotel in a high location about 2km from the city centre. Looks like and this was a castle at some time in the past. Room was large and comfortable and had superb views across the city and sea. Hotel was difficult to find despite having a sat nav. Plenty of free parking. Breakfast was basic and disappointing.

It was very friendly, breakfast was very good. slightly different items each day. Not many rooms so felt special. Views from our balcony wonderful. Bit far out even taxi drivers got lost! But wonderful hotel.

The most beautiful hotel I've stayed at
Ok, the location for the hotel is not "right in the middle of it", but this hotel does not need to be there as it is something special in its self. Not only is the interior and exterior "one-of-a-kind" but the beds are so comfortable and the bathroom is HUGE (we stayed in room 4 which had two sinks and green tiles if you are looking at the pictures). I recommend each one of you that visit Malaga to check in at this hotel as it is an experience to stay here. The only area that could perhaps be improved would be the breakfast buffé, but don't get discourage just because of that. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stunning hotel in beautiful location.
We absolutely loved this hotel. We felt like we were staying in a private house and our room (suite) was beautifully decorated in keeping with the original style of the house and incredibly spacious including a lounge area with a full 3 piece suite and direct access to the garden. The grounds and garden are stunning with amazing views across Malaga and out to sea. Lunch (only 14 euros for 3 courses including wine and coffee) was also excellent.

This is an outstanding hotel that used to be a castle. The building and the garden is quite exceptional, the view breathtaking. It is situated a little far from the city center but you can take a bus or a taxi (reasonable price) to the old town. The beach is a short walk away but on the way back to the hotel you have to walk up the hill. The interiors are amazing and well kept. The rooms are very clean, some have huge terraces. There are relatively few rooms in the hotel and the guests get top service from the staff. Since the elevator does not reach all the floors and the layout of the hotel is unusual with rooms spread around you have to climb some stairs which can be a little tricky with a heavy suitcase. But: no problem, the receptionist helped us to carry the suitcase up! Breakfast was included although it was not mentioned in our booking and we found everything we needed in the breakfast room. The garden is especially charming in the evening with light spots, light music, fountain and greenery against the old walls. We are still under big impression after the stay at Santa Catalina and we would very much like to come back one day.
