Absolutely outstanding. The room was spacious and very clean and the provided fan was much welcome in the heat. Staff are excellent very helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Lovely pub with rooms in a beautiful village setting. The rooms are fairly small but clean, cozy and looks recently renovated. Well appointed with all the things you need. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order, with tea, coffee, juices and cereal also available. All staff were very friendly and helpful. This is apparently a community owned pub/B&B owned by the village, so deserves to be well supported. Top marks from me, and thoroughly recommended!

Excellent value for money. The rooms were very comfortable with quality fittings and accessories. The staff were both pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was well prepared and tailored to our requests. We would recommend the Riverside Inn unreservedly.

Lovely room with great bathroom. A bath and separate shower was a treat. Plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. WiFi was good and nice decor. Staff were pleasant and was lovely to be able to converse Welsh. Location was handy for lots of places to visit. Defo hope to be back

Good location for people planning to drive/explore around Mid-North Wales or purely want to have a peaceful time. Plenty of parking space. Love the vibe the hotel shows. Lovely food (both dinner and included breakfast). I can see why food here is awarded. Staff are friendly. The downside is the cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom. Plus, the blockage of the drain in the bath. Water everywhere after taking the shower.

The accommodation itself was lovely with a beautiful bathroom, the building itself needed a bit of care in places but because this is a community owned building the money is needed for other things like the rooms which have been done. I do not think this is a hotel but more a bed and breakfast as you have to pay for an evening meal in the bar/restaurant downstairs every night along with any drinks, you are unable to charge them to your room. It also only opens between 16.00 and 22.00 and for a breakfast in the mornings (guests only for breakfast) anything else between those times are a no. All that being said the village and surroundings are beautiful, and would go back there if I went that way again.

Just WOW! What a wonderful find, and it's a must-visit. The staff, food, service, rooms, and wonderful patrons made this a highlight of my trip to Wales. This is a little gem, and you must go out of your way to stay and dine in the restaurant.

Perfect in every way

The room was fantastic, spacious with every detail considered. The bed was very comfortable and huge! The bathroom had a separate bath and shower with double sinks. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Definitely worth a visit! I forgot to mention the food, that was delicious too!

Quick and easy check in. Room had been recently renovated and had everything needed and was very clean throughout with soft fluffy towels and fresh smelling linens. Food was great quality both at breakfast and from the main menu later in the day. Make sure you book if you want a table for dinner as it is very popular. All staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Overall, we would recommend this hotel, as the stay was pleasant and the location is nice. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The cleanliness could be better. Breakfast portions were quite small and the selection was limited — it would be great to see more variety. It would also help if staff asked about guests’ preferences before preparing breakfast, especially when staying with children, as kids don’t always eat everything. With a few improvements, this could be a really lovely place to stay.

Really nice room!

The Pub has just been reopened after a major renovation and the rooms are like new. We were in room 1 and it has a lovely big comfy bed and a bathroom that you could have football match in… huge! Big bath and shower 2 sinks etc. nice food, friendly staff etc. All good!!

MAGNIFICENT BREAK

Having a specific room requirement the hotel give me options and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. With the Hotel room only refurbished in October 24, they were well finished and furnished. We ate in the restaurant with the menu offering a good variety of food and we we very happy with the quality of the food. Finally a big thank you to Dela who was a supMagerb host.

The room was new and very clean … on arrival young lady showed us to our room . We booked on line to have evening Meal but not confirmation until we arrived …. I asked what time was breakfast and they asked if we could pre - book for the two days we stayed there … First days breakfast was excellent and cooked to perfection by a young man …. The second day was different as we felt sorry for the lady that was cooking breakfast as she was just about to go home and didn’t realised we were booked in for breakfast that morning …. Bless her she apologies “as she thought she finished for the day - she immediately made us some coffee and tea and pulled everything out of stock again to make us a breakfast which was nice. She couldn’t do enough for us. As a suggestion the manger should have a better system especially when you had to pre - order the breakfast ….. must say not keen on that idea as who know what they fancy for breakfast the day before - but it to save waste we understand … But written up on a board for all the catering staff in the kitchen so all can see - they then know what has to be cook and served Anyway very grateful to the lady …. as I stated staff were lovely and we think this was just an over slight … made us late leaving but otherwise a lovely stay.

Lovely place and excellent stay. Just a bit pricey when the added £25 dog fee was included. Other places we stay have a much lower fee for dogs, or none at all.
