Hotel Castello
"Staff was great, very helpful, and accommodating"
Hotel L'Aquila
"The hotel is conveniently located near shopping, attractions, and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is very attentive and the breakfast had many options, to suit all palates."
Hotel Federico II
"Good location Good value for money Staff were very helpful and friendly"
le Stanze del Capitano Caldora
"I stayed for a week in June. The room was spacious and clean, with WiFi and an AC unit. Breakfast was what Americans might call "continental", with local sweets to go with an espresso, fruit and yogurt. The person who checked me in was very helpful and friendly, was happy to provide some local information, and checked in on me several times during the stay to see if I needed anything. The only downside was that the one-way street outside my window was a bit noisier than I would have expected for not being right in the city center. In any case, when I return to L'Aquila, I would definitely stay here again!"
Oasi del Vetoio
"Great oasis near L'Aquila center. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff."
Canadian Hotel
"Its the pool that is my main reason to choose this Hotel, finish work back to Hotel and pool is all yours I have used on many occasions and its been empty.."
La Compagnia del Viaggiatore
"Clean modern quiet rooms, great service, good location. Offers Parking on property."
My Suite Hotel
"Very much enjoyed our stay, loved the coffee, water and juice on every floor, rooms are small and bathrooms smaller, free parking is about 100M away, busy coffee tabachi shop on main floor. This hotel divides a busy 6 lane road but noise in rooms is not a problem. Wonderful staff in hotel and service at bar!! "
Affittacamere il Boscaiolo
"Room had all the attributes and Pascual was a good host , though his phone didn’t work."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in L'Aquila
- Book for the cheapest times: Visiting L'Aquila on a budget is a great value for money, especially during January, June and November when hotel prices may drop to lower prices. For exploring key historical and cultural landmarks — including churches, the cathedral, castle, monuments, and art sites — a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is ideal. In addition, visitors can enjoy natural attractions such as natural parks and mountain areas, all while keeping within budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To explore hotel deals in L'Aquila, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, increasing your chances of saving. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you find the best options. With these features, you're more likely to be notified if rooms become available or prices drop, making it easier to plan a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a L'Aquila hotel. For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels might offer a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will indicate whether the price for your selected dates is above or below average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Staying closer to major attractions or city centres can offer convenience, but it often comes with increased costs. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. You may wish to explore independent hotels located further out, as they usually tend to be more affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
