The penultimate breakfast
Hotel with character and tradition but old and without modern decor. Set in 6 acres close to Wrexham and Bangor on Dee. Excellent full Welsh Breakfast. This hotel was to close 48 hours after our stay so any more detail information is of no value.

Cot requested, but not in room, broken cot brought up which was difficult to set up. Under the bed was very dirty. Bathroom smelt of gas because it was very close to the kitchen, kitchen extractors very noisy outside our window, room hot. WiFi not connecting.

Good hotel on edge of town.
Pleasant stay for two nights; quiet location in large grounds 2 miles from Wrexham. Staff friendly and helpful, and breakfasts (continental) and evening meals (bar meals) wholesome and reasonably priced.

Romantic
Shower did not work, nobody to complain to. Breakfast did not start until 8am. Nobody on reception when we left at 7am. Not a good experience.

Stay for a 2-day Asian wedding.
Nice location in attractive grounds. In bedroom mattress hard and uncomfortable and room in need of some decoration. (Allowance made for age of building which has much character). Did not use restaurant because of 2-day commitments at wedding receptions where there was plenty of food & meals at the hotel were unnecessary for this reason.
Staff we encountered at the hotel were lovely, nice friendly people, especially the female staff. Would probably stay again if ever in this area.

Great staff, not for business travel
The staff was friendly and service was great. The room was tiny and had creaky floors. Wireless network was intermittent and slow. You could call this hotel "charming countryside hotel" fine for leisure type stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for business travel.

Ideal location and relaxed stay
I've stayed here twice now and the location of the hotel is ideal for work, being so close to Wrexham. The food here is very good and way better than most hotels of this class. Whilst the hotel is oldish it has charm and the staff friendly and helpful
