We would have liked to give this lodge a good review given its quite stunning location very close to the sector entrance, but unfortunately there were too many negatives bringing down the rating.
Let’s start with the positive:
* Proximity to the park entrance
* Spacious rooms
* Growing vegetable and fruit garden. Ask the gardener to give you a tour.
* The manager did provide us with useful advice on where to drive on safari
These were the negatives:
* Dirty rooms with bat poo on furniture and safari ants entering the building
* No one came to clean our bed or check and prepare our room at night, which we have seen at all other places in this price category in Uganda
* Employees generally showing no interest whatsoever and lacking a general customer service attitude. For example, we asked for a later breakfast (after 10) after a morning game drive, which was impossible they said as the staff was going to be very busy preparing the lodges for a full house that night. We ended up being the only guests. Other example: you ask for cold milk, you get hot milk. All in all, the staff was only half-heartedly polite and took a very long time for basic tasks.
* We booked and paid via Expedia (hotels.com) and when it came to the checkout, they could not find our booking. It took us a long discussion to prove that we had paid
* Unstable Wifi
To conclude, given what we paid, we do not become this place even if it has the potential to becoeme a great pace.
