4 Year Anniversary Getaway Trip
It was my girlfriend and myself’s 4 year anniversary and we had an unforgettable experience. The room was just as it was pictured and even better than the photos online!! The room had a very rustic, old fashioned them to it and I truly was in my glory. I love these types of rooms out in the wilderness. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. It was just a beautiful and picturesque experience. We already both said we will be coming back here next year!! Thank you to the wonderful staff as they were more than pleasant with attending to our needs. We had questions about our thermostat and one of the women came to our room and helped us adjust the thermostat to our liking. We had a patio and the of our back outside was just jaw dropping stunning. The serenity was just extraordinary. I took so many pictures and videos of our room and the outdoors. We ate breakfast at the restaurant/bar next door and the food was wonderful. I have a severe dairy allergy and the staff there was able to accommodate my dairy allergy by making me scrambled eggs. I also did bring some of my own food as well. My girlfriend and I could not have been more thrilled and pleased with our stay in Lumberville at 1740 House. If I could I would give this experience a 100/100 stars!! We LOVED IT HERE!!! I will definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to be off the grid for a while and just wants to go explore and be one with nature!!

Hidden Gem!
This is a gem of an inn. Historic property, quaint, with a beautiful view of the Delaware River Canal and state park. Friendly and courteous staff welcomed us and escorted us to our room promptly upon arrival. The included breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant offers great food and wine selections in a cozy atmosphere.

Disappointing Dinner
Great stay. Welcoming people at the check-in and the check-out. Very good breakfast. A little disappointed in dinner. The menu only offered two items of interest to us. A chicken Caesar salad, which was good, and a garden salad with feta cheese - but it had any avocado oil based dressing and we dont like avocado. When asked if we could have a different dressing, the water said no. When asked if my wife could get a tomato juice, he also said no. And when I asked about fresh ground pepper he also said no, although he did find a mill. Just a curious set of events, that otherwise would have rated a 5
