Nice location and a great, big room. No onsite parking and no AC (I forgot to check in advancve.)
Yaron, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The hotel is a series of Georgian mansions that line the street. The room was spacious and lovely. There were breakfast options (not included) and a nice bar for a nightcap. Staff members were friendly and helpful. It is just a few blocks from Haymarket Station several busses, and the tram.

Location was good, close to Scot Rail and the trams. Lots of pubs and restaurants close by. Area was quiet at night.
Amanda, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

The staff were incredibly helpful and were s willing to make sure I got to places easily. Lila even carried my suitcase to my room. The room was spacious and very clean. I would definitely stay there again. Close yo sll transport and eateries.
Christine, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Excellent stay and the staff were so accommodating. Not sure about dining in because we didn't try it but looked wonderful. Everything about our stay was great.
Sabrina, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

The room I had was on the third floor. 48 stairs with luggage isn’t an easy chore. The room could use large fans to help combat the heat. We did receive a fan when we requested it but it had limited effect unfortunately. The staff was very nice and friendly.
Rick, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

Location is great. Single rooms are very small. Stairs only. I left some items behind and despite contacting the hotel straight away I received no response for several days and then was told they’d been discarded.
Baethan, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Great location to many of the historical sites of Edinburgh. The area is highly walkable; but, plenty of public transportation options if needed. The room is well appointed and spacious. Staff were very helpful and responsive.
Holly, 3-night trip

Beautiful hotel and room. Amazing stay. Highly recommended
Sarah, 3-night trip

Everything was Perfect!
Bernadett, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

This place is great. I would have given it 5 stars except for the bed. Mattress was absolutely awful. Buchan Room 12 dearly needs a new one. To say it 'sags' is an understatement. Everything else was lovely. Staff are all really great.
Lisa, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Great bedroom

Three nights stay over February weekend. Great room, really large and comfortable Staff were all very friendly and helpful Great location
Tim, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

No free drinks offered- and the room was on the third floor with no access to an elevator, I needed to know that in advance
Yesim, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

A nice hotel with great staff

We really enjoyed our stay at the Haymarket. The staff were excellent and their breakfast was cooked to order. Location was very close to the Haymarket train station so very convenient. The only drawback was the hotel did not have an elevator. The hotel manager offered to move us to another one of their buildings but we elected to stay with our original room. At the end of the day, despite being on the top floor, the stairs were doable. Recommend staying.
Billy, 3-night trip

6/10 Okay

This hotel staff was nice, the property was cute however it needed a good dusting and the beds were horribly uncomfortable. There were garbage bins right outside our window that were emptied at 2 am everynight which woke us up as well.
Adam, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Great service. Learned to use transportation options. Didn’t like the stairs.
william, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

No elevator. Third floor was difficult with luggage. Still a lovely place.
william, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Very charming place made up of a row of townhomes that have been beautifully restored. The staff was very professional and welcoming. The full breakfast offered many delicious options. Haymarket was about a 10-15 minute walk to the key tourist destinations. As we had tougher weather, we ended up with more Ubers back and forth to the hotel, but they were very reasonable fares.
Jennifer, 2-night trip

2/10 Terrible

The Haymarket Hotel and surrounding properties are located in a quiet suburb of Edinburgh. Easy to transport links and if you like a to walk about 40 minutes from the Centre of Edinburgh The town houses are of traditional design with original features and neutral colour schemes. Staff were lovely and helpful however they do have their work cut out in respect to the failing conditions of this hotel and its other sister buildings. My room was okay , however a little tatty around the seems , sad because the heart of the hotel is amazing. I was sad to find bed bug activity as I had been bitten and have had to ensure I hadn’t had any uninvited guests in my luggage as I didn’t want those little beasts in my home . I did suffer noise disturbance due to noise from above which with vibration turned my chandelier into some kind of singing instrument. I feel that the staff work hard at keeping visitors happy but this aging building is letting them all down . Need a through refurb , however it was the cheapest hotel to stay in during the fringe , so good value for the price . I wish this hotel well but it does needs some investment or unfortunately it is going to be left behind , shame as it is a wonderful building and deserves to do well .
