We did not see much of Chandler outside of the hotel and the restaurant we dined at, Pita Jungle, which was very good. We did go for a long walk through the Gilbert Riparian Preserve which we highly recommend. Very peaceful and pleasant.

It's a nice upscale suburb. We ended up here after having a terrible time trying to find a decent hotel in Mesa to be near Scottsdale (long story). But if you need to be near Phoenix I think Chandler is a safe bet.

I love this area of Chandler. Very convenient, with a shop or restaurant or other services every few hundred yards. I love the fashion mall though I didn't go there this time due to a busy schedule.

Glad I asked the front desk staff about morning traffic to PHX. He warned of morning traffic, and advised us to leave no later than 8am for a 1015 flight - including time to return a rental car!
