Fort Lauderdale is lovely and has a nice, quiet vibe. It's Miami's grown up sibling and is very appealing to all ages - there is something for everyone! The beaches are beautiful and everything works like clockwork, without any issues or delays.

Easy to get around without a car. There is a free bus, and a cheap bus and a free water shuttle (not the expensive water taxi) Ubers are cheap too. Groceries are limited to a CVS on the main beach, the main Publix supermarket is about 2 miles away.

We always stop in Fort Lauderdale on the way down to Miami for the winter. Love stepping out onto the beach, and the restaurants, and the overall vibe. Its just the right combination of kooky, without being too sleepy, like some other towns.

Ft. Lauderdale is not as quiet as it used to be. Traffic is heavy and loud, and we couldn't escape the smell of marijuana wherever we went. We found being pedestrians, we had to be extra cautious as the vehicles won't watch for you!!

Great place to spend a day or two. The beach can be quite a scene but there are lots of shops and restaurants. The Water Taxi makes it very easy to get from beach / marina to Las Olas and other spots for dining and shopping.

We enjoyed experiencing Fort Lauderdale. We took the 1.5 hour boat trip which was fab. Highly recommend this. We also ate at the Aruba cafe on our first evening which was very good. Also great walk along the beach.

Vibrant beach town with lots of great dining and shopping options. You're close to the highway and airport, but you don't feel like you are, it was a beautiful city.
"Nice location! Staff were helpful in the most part. Highlight to Ms Kennedy at the pool bar and the guy who fix stuff around the hotel. He is a great singer on his spare time. "
