This is a small and charming family-run hotel in a gem of an old town, Hoorn - and for us much preferable to larger more generic accommodation. Our garden room was clean and comfortable with good quality bedding and well-appointed bathroom with nice toiletries. The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, for instance providing a disposable toothbrush and paste because I had forgotten mine! Breakfast was excellent and made all the more enjoyable as we chatted with the owner about the wonderful history of Hoorn and the Dutch East India Company. A great base to explore this delightful time- warped, peaceful destination, for us, on a par with Bruges and incredibly easy to get to from Schipol/Amsterdam.
