Charming beach cottages and small B&Bs dot the tree-lined streets, many featuring wraparound porches with water views. The neighborhood's casual waterfront eateries serve up fresh local seafood without the city centre crowds. Virginia Beach is a very unique place. I'm from North Carolina, so we go to NC beaches. The boardwalk and bike paths are great. Fun to watch the people. Love the military jets and helicopters doing there thing. We had a great time, working vacation.

This was our 5th trip to VA Beach and we really enjoy visiting there. It is so nice relaxing on the beach after driving through Norfolk traffic. This will be our 2nd year in a row going there for vacation. Oh yeah Pirate Parasail is the best!!!!

The shopping is limited. The boardwalk is nice, especially the separate bike lane. The beach is clean and well attended by the lifeguards. The music on the beach is awesome. One downside is the number of loud cars/motorcycles that roar by all night.

Virginia Beach was amazing while we were there, mid-week! Family friendly and not a party crowd. The boardwalk is really enjoyable for pedestrians as well as cyclists. We found dining prices expensive from a Canadian standpoint. Many hotel options!

This place is an epicenter of fun. There is so much to do and so many great places to eat, I can't even begin to list them. The beach is great and so well taken care of that unless you are up early to see the equipment working it looks like magic!

We visited the Virginia Beach Aquarium and had so much fun! There are shops, restaurants, exhibits, rentals everywhere! There's so much to do, inside and outside, plus a beach that you wont have enough time to fit in everything you want to do.

I highly recommend Virginia Beach as a family vacation. This is our second time coming during 4th of July weekend and had super fun! It's a very family oriented place. Can't say anything about The nightlife because we were in bed by 9:30 p.m.

Friendly people, 5 star customer service, great dining options for all ages. We always have a good time when we visit. Only downside is that traffic coming to the beach or leaving the beach if driving be aware of the time you are traveling.

The beach boardwalk is beautiful! I loved being close to Neptune park. We were impressed to see workers cleaning up the beach and boardwalk area daily as so many in our country have forgotten to take care of our beauty by not littering.

Schooner Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at The Schooner Inn was very enjoyable. Quiet at appropriate times. No riff raff. Right on the beach and the balcony was perfect! Would stay here again."
"The hotel is at a fantastic location and we really enjoyed our oceanview room with the extra large balcony. All the hotel staff were especially friendly and helpful. The bed was altogether comfortable, but while the pillows and linens were soft, the mattress was showing signs of age with some stiff springs and stains around the sides. There were other signs of wear-and-tear, like oxidized rings on the bathroom floor around where the metal trash can had been moved, the room door feeling a little stiff to shut, and a television system that felt a few generations old, but our experience was still overwhelmingly positive and we would stay at this hotel again. "
"The service was great. This hotel was clean and convenient all the way around. I will most likely make this my go to place to stay when I am in the area."
