Off season is fine but I doubt it's this quiet and nice on season. MB proper too commercial for our tastes but beaches and surrounding areas worth a visit. Especially Surfside, Litchfield, Brookgreen Gardens, Murrels Inlet. A car is needed for these

Love the area. Stayed for 3 months at an Airbnb and a couple of times at hotels. Peaceful outside of main boardwalk and gaming family fun spots. Many things to do. Beaches allow dogs. Very pretty, slower paced, and much cheaper than other towns.

The beach is nice, clean, etc. Lots to do both inland and on the water. We did go carts, went to Charleston (Patriot Point), ropes course, beach days, lots of good food. Overall, a good experience. The area felt safe for the most part.

Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes

"This hotel is beautiful! 5 stars- right on the beach, outdoor showers to rinse off. Huge hot tub, water slide for the kids, clean pools, tons of outdoor seating. Waiters come to you pool side for you to place orders for food and drinks. They have an outdoor bar too! The hotel is so clean, delicious flavored water by the front desk. Also, when you walk in from the parking area there’s the most refreshing smell. I wanted to ask what they use in that area to buy for my own home. I would love to stay here again! "
