8/10 Good

Lovely reception lady, was very helpful. Thank you
Alexander, 4-night trip

6/10 Okay

The hotel is in a very convenient location near Tottenham Court Road station with many shops. The room was quite hot in the night. Mattress could have been a bit comfier but there was sufficient space for a single bed as a budget hotel location. Check-in and check-out processes were quick and easy.

2/10 Terrible

Terrible hotel. Obviously, in accordance with its price, but even too bad.

Friendly Staff, Spacious rooms for travelling alone, shared bathrooms only downside 👍

4/10 Poor

Great location 24 hour check in service - but the room was actually scary to stay in and was like being in a time warp I can’t believe in central London they still even exist but for £60 for all three of us I don’t consider that I can expect anything less. Also the man on the reception was really lovely just a very strange experience!!

Friendly staff, ok for price paid

8/10 Good

It was okay. The host wasn’t able to tell us anything about sight seeing in the area. But it was fine. Lots of stairs but I think that’s the norm in Amsterdam.
Andrea, 2-night trip

2/10 Terrible

Although the hotel is at the cheaper end of the market, the whole experience was unpleasant. The staff are slovenly and unfriendly; the room was extremely basic. We booked for two nights but left an hour after check-in due to the conditions and booked ourselves in a better hotel at the same price.

6/10 Okay

Would have been nice to have some air conditioning since the room was very hot. Conveniently located close to euston station and tottenham court road station. Floorboards a bit creaky, and the room could have been a bit cleaner. The front-desk staff were friendly.

6/10 Okay

Very basic budget hotel, great location, room spacious, staff friendly but overall not very clean, need some refurbishment as it's quite rundown. Definitely ok for 1 night
Manuela, 1-night trip

4/10 Poor

Poorly maintained only had 1 curtain, cobwebs everywhere, toilet seat didn't fit, shower was temp wrong, no tea coffee facilities or even a plastic cup, gap under door you could hear everyone come and go. The only plus side was location so close to Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road underground. Would i stay again yes but only for location.
Very thin shower bathroom
Seat did not fit
Breath in
Handle hanging off the wardrobe

2/10 Terrible

Really nasty!! Staff was sweet but that's about it. Holes in walls, disgusting shared bathroom, wifi wouldn't work

Basic and economical

I booked for one night. The position is excellent. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was basic and a bit tired but fine for £50.
The single room

2/10 Terrible

I felt like I was in a horror movie — everything was old and falling apart. The room looked like a prison cell, with a horrible bed, a disgusting smell, and a rock-hard mattress. It was like scenes from a horror film. As for the bathrooms, I won’t even comment because I don’t have words to describe what I saw. The photos already look bad, but the reality is much worse. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I honestly don’t understand how this can be called a hotel or how it’s even allowed to operate.
Ana Cristina, 3-night trip

4/10 Poor

The property is outdated, needs renovation and upgrades to modern facilities. The carpet looks so old and dirty Windows and windows seals were so dusty and dirty, rooms were so stuffy. The property needs total upgrading.
Daniel and Desire, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

basic standard, centrally located

My room in this centrally located hotel was clean and the check-in was easily done. I regularly travel to London and I've previously stayed in this hotel before. I recommend this to solo short term travellers who just need a basic accommodation within the city's centre. For just a night I don't need any luxury, shared bathroom is ok and clean towels are always provided.

We stayed here 1 night as going to see a show. Hotel is very basic and needs a refurbishment. Beds not very comfortable. Bed linen and towels were clean. hotel was ok for 1 night however I would not stay more than that. Location is great if you are going to a show, about 5 min walk to nearest tube station (Tottenham court road).
Sonia, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

It’s a basic room with just a single bed and a shared bathroom. The hotel overall was pretty clean for the most part but some people staying there apparently didn’t know how to flush the toilet! 😂 The bed was very creaky and has probably seen better days so that could probably do with being updated. A refresh on the paint on the walls would be nice and the carpets are looking tired. But overall staff were friendly and accommodated me being able to stay an extra night. Only WIFI available in the lobby which is a shame but I knew that prior to booking. My 5G was a bit iffy when in the room but that’s probably more to do with my network than the hotel itself. I was a little worried reading some of the reviews but it’s fine for a few nights & the price I paid was reasonable. It’s walking distance to pretty much anywhere you’d want to go & has a good selection of shops and restaurants close by. is only about a 7 minute walk to Tottenham Court Road tube station. I went to the palladium and it only took me 15 minutes to walk. It seemed to be in a pretty safe area. I would stay here again.
sophie, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

We checked in and checked out 2 hours later after we found a much better hotel. The total money was forefeit but it was good for ourselves. The hotel is not liveable and it is simply horrible plus terrible. We should ask the homeless people to live inside for two nights instead of in the cold streets.

Avoid

GRIM! Worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Ever. Communal shower/toilet and absolutely filthy everywhere. Cheap agreeably if you want to rest your head but bring disinfectant!
Ciaran, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Fine for a Budget Break

Well it has to be said, much of the hotel needs a refurbishment. The reception area is fine as it is, but the guest rooms and bathrooms need updating. As it was a last-minute booking, I opted for a single room without bathroom so had to use the separate bathroom nextdoor. The room itself was adequate and the hotel in general very quiet. The most noise came from my very creaky bed frame, which combined with a slanting mattress, disturbed my sleep somewhat. As for the bathrooms, laminate flooring in a shower isn't the best idea, and the wood is on its way out. But the water for the shower was lovely and hot. Overall, for a London break on a budget, the Gresham does the job. But it does need a touch-up.

Great Location, good price, friendly stuff. Very old property, not mantained, no elevator.
