2/10 Poor

We made reservations in November 2020 for our stay in June 2021. We arrived at the hotel and were turned away by the security guard as it was only housing housing COVID-19 guests. We had to quickly find a new hotel. This was a prepaid hotel stay and after calling the hotel multiple times we have still not received a refund.

Location is great, it is in the middle of downtown and the property is clean. It is outdated, expensive wifi, no ameneties, very basic.

The location is excellent for down town papeete, it has good air conditioning - only downside is that there is no wifi, it is only a vinispot which would cost 480 francs for an hour - otherwise is clean, comfortable and the staff are lovely and helpful

Tiare Tahiti met our needs just fine. We were only there overnight, so it was a quick visit. There is some construction on the walkway outside which kept us from being able to be picked up and dropped off at the entrance, which was inconvenient; when it is finished it will look very pretty!

Extremely clean, Great location and price
First of, amazingly clean every area of this hotel! I walked out of my room which was on the 3rd floor harbor view, to the elevator down to the front desk with no shoe on (don’t judge; I was that free). Did that twice by the way. And was so surprised that my feet did not show any signs of dirt! Next, though there is construction in the area, the location is ideal! Hope prices don’t go up when the work is done. The breakfast was light and enough to get us ready for the safari tour. Eggs, bread, chocolate, local fruits and juice.

Reasonable,clean an comfortable in Papeete
Needed a day hotel after getting off the Paul Gauguin ship and flying out late at night and Hotel Tiare was perfect and in the harbor-market area. Only a few minute walk from the ship and close to all the shops and Papeete Market. Just a small hotel and not the Hilton and few amenities but clean, comfortable, and safe and reasonable. Front desk receptionist spoke English and was very hospitable and gave us directions to the attractions in the area, and graciously let us keep our luggage in their secure storage room until checkin and room was ready early. Large and very clean room with great A/C, and hotel is close to harbor food trucks-great for an inexpensive dinner. Would have stayed longer if our flight was later, as hotel would be great for a few days exploring Papeete And Tahiti.

Pre Cruise Stopover
We were going on a cruise and found the Hotel very convenient to the Port entrance. Did not need a taxi, even with our luggage! Arrived at night and taxi from the airport could not stop right outside because of road works and entrance was difficult to find in the dark. However, Hotel was clean and comfortable - would have appreciated free Wi-Fi, but found this at the Tourist Information Centre at the Port entrance. Good breakfast and hotel close to centre of town and market. Would definitely choose it again if cruising out of Papeete.

Property is close to ferry terminal so it makes an easy stop after a late flight in before the ferry to Moorea the next day. It is a basic hotel with just basic amenities. The a\c struggles to get the room cool because of heat and humidity in this climate. At reception we were greeted warmly and with efficiency. The breakfast included with our Expedia reservation was fresh fruits, cooked to order eggs, delicious french breads, and coffee, tea, and juices. Property overlooks harbor.

Love this little old hotel. Staff so helpful. Could not get in til in afternoon, but stored our luggage and went to market. Very helpful in arranging taxi to airport, pickup right in front of hotel. Close to parks, ship, ferry and food truck. And air conditioning works great. Good price too.

It’s rustic, or basic but clean with friendly staff. Great location by cruise ship and ferry terminals, on the pretty harbor and close to many restaurants.

Air Conditioner did not cool the room at all. The mattress was extremely old and had no support. Only one towel was provided. There is no safe in the room. Close to food and stores, but most stores close early in the day. Pay extra for some place else. You won't get good rest here.

We arrived late at night and needed a place to stay as we were taking a ferry to Moorea the next morning. There is nothing fancy about this hotel. The room does not have a very comfortable feeling. I would not want to stay for any length of time here. It suited our purpose as a bed for the night and no more.
