There was nothing wrong with the room itself, but the vibe and the service were something else. I arrived less than an hour before the official check-in time and was told I could access my room earlier for a $40 charge. Most hotels charge for a late check-out, which is understandable, but in 30+ years, I've never been charged for checking in earlier when the room was already available.
Most hotels have longer breakfast hours on weekends, but not here.... and despite the limited window, they were almost out of scrambled eggs more than an hour before the cut-off, and what was there was cold.
This was my first time staying at a Red Roof Inn property, and will also be the last.
