The hotel was very secure with security at the gates and x-ray for baggage at the entrance. The lobby is quite large, with a restaurant, gift shop and station to arrange transportation. The food was good. Our room was nice, but not quite as cool as we would like. The rug in our room was pretty dirty and had not been cleaned in a long time. Otherwise we had a great stay.

On the promenade. As mentioned by others, you can't walk out of the property without getting hassled but that is a problem in Luxor anywhere you go! You can't walk down the promenade in peace!
