We purchased the accommodation several days in advance on Expedia, a 'Family Room' at a premium, it was ridiculously small, it could not accommodate 4 people. The two supposed double beds were in fact, slightly bigger than a single bed, 1 metre 35 across. They were unsuitable for 2 adults. There was nowhere to put our luggage, strangely part of the wardrobe had been boarded up and could not even be accessed. Perhaps housing electrics. This was taking up much needed space. There were only 2 hand towels, two larger towels, 2 glasses, 2 cups, 2 saucers, 2 bottles of water. The facilities were clearly not suitable for 4 people. 4 people had been put pushed in a room designed for only 2. We went to the reception & complained and they told us that they were fully booked & they say they did not have any other rooms. We then saw several couples checking in after us on the same floor and given the same type of room as us, which was sold to us as a “Family room.” We have been ripped off! The room was very dark, with really poor lighting. My elderly mother could not even see her medication, I had to shine the torch on my mobile to help her. She dropped a tablet under the bed & I was covered in dirt trying to retrieve it. The furniture was very battered, stained & tatty. The remote control of the TV had the back missing. The toilet stank of urine. The bath was full of black mould, the water temperature kept fluctuating in the shower from icy cold to scalding. Our child burnt her face and
