Small city with nice people. Good for things such as the garden (one of the top three in Japan), castle, pottery makers and Kurashiki historic area.

Many shops but not much sightseeing point and the city centre, a good place for layover for visiting cities nearby.
"Okayama is an underrated city in Japan as there are a lot to see here and in the surrounding area. This hotel is only a short walk from the main JR station. Despite its relatively small size, the room is quiet and comfortable with all the amenities I needed. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. "
"Small cigarette at lobby
And The rooms are old, but meals are included, so it's probably a good value for money considering the convenience. However, the smell of cigarettes seems to have permeated the building, so I don't think I'd want to stay there again."
"Very budget friendly hotel with a nice deep bathtub. It isnt the most modern hotel but it was clean, comfortable and cheap. The staff were friendly, and although we were unable to utilize the free breakfast or dinner it was included (half board). I did think it would be a bit closer to the station but that was on me for not researching well enough."
