Amazing city. Nice people. Had great memories. We came during polar nights. New Year's time. Dark most of the time but lots of fun. If you are doing snowmobiling- do the early tour while it's light out. Once it's about 2:30 it's very dark

We also recommend doing a boat trip at night to get the best pictures of the Aurora. The buses are excellent & easy to get around on. We recommend getting two Apps... (1) Troms Billett for buying any bus ticket and (2) Aurora app for live updates.

Tromso is incredible. It felt like living in a film for a week. People were friendly, local experiences were amazing. Take the Hermes boat trip! Hunt the Northern Lights! The Best Souvenir Shop really is the best! We had the time of our lives.

Tromsø is incredibly charming - lovely people, great food & drink, shopping everywhere, very walkable. Gorgeous scenery, great day trip options - orca & humpback whale watching, northern lights tours, and just a 2hr drive to Finland.

We loved the Sami/reindeer tour, the sauna/cold water dip, and we were super lucky to have seen lots of whales (orca & humpback, and 2 fin). It was all fabulous, we'd love to return.

Tromsø is a fantastic city. It's safe, easy to navigate, and has a nice vibe to it. I was expecting a small sleepy city where everything shuts early but there are much more things to do and see than I expected. Make sure you preook excursions!
"We had some difficulty with finding the apartment. The map was not sent way in advance for us to study. When you are in a car it’s hard to know where to park to go ask for help. We arrived late due to some delays however after driving around awhile we figured it out. We were able to talk to someone the next day in the office with questions and he was very helpful. "
"Bel établissement, idéalement situé en pleins centre ville.
Propreté et confort était au rendez-vous.
Néanmois il manquerait dans l'espace publiques ou les chambres un frigo ou micro-ondes pour se restaurer convenablement "
"The room was comfortable and clean - very warm and cosy. The bed is quite soft and they gave me two pillows - one normal and one massive - which actually made sitting up and reading in bed very comfy. The duvet was quite thick for the summer, but that might just be me.The windows do a really good job of blocking out noise from the outside.
I had a single room with its own bathroom - there was ample space for me. Yes, the towel rail is over the loo, but the rooms are compact so I am not really sure where else they would put them.
My only complaint about the room is the lack of space for me to put my clothes. As I was staying for a week, I wanted to unpack and had to just stack all my stuff on the desk in the room provided. Not a huge hassle, just a thing. Certainly not severe enough to reduce the stars.
Breakfast was good. Lots of variety, really nice fresh bread, and the staff were good at keeping everything topped up.
For me though, the best thing was the location. It's really central with everything you need within a five/ten minute walk.
I have read some of the comments about the lack of tea/coffee facilities etc. but that is clear in the room description so I don't know what people were expecting.
Overall, I was really happy with my stay and would definitely use them again. "
"Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel was spotless and beautiful with great views, and the breakfast buffet was beyond what many 5-star resorts offer. The only negative in our stay was the air conditioning was insufficient to keep the room cool on an unusually warm summer day."
"Our only negative was how long it took to check in. It seemed like the clerk had a whole lot of screens and questions that had to be filled out. They worked as quickly as possible but just had so much that had to be completed before we got our key. "
"The staff was great. You need to know to ask for a spot with a vehicle charger if you have an electric car. If it is hot out, you will be hot as there is no A/C. We did not leave the window open because of the concert outside and the sea gulls in the morning (would be too loud). The shower is very small. Breakfast is traditional and nice."
"Excellent location with super friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Bonus of included evening meal and afternoon snack in price. Decor a bit tired in places but the price point is about right and the location makes up for it. 2 minute walk from drop off point of airport shuttle bus. Definitely worth paying for an upgraded room that looks out over the harbour for great views of the arctic cathedral. I was very happy with my stay here and will use again next time in Tromso."
