The hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are pretty spacious. However, there is absolutely no air conditioning and the rooms are extremely hot. The Scandic Neptun has been really good for our brief stay in Bergen. It’s quite close to the harbour and about a 15 min. walk to the train or bus station. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Our only draw back was the temperature in the room. It was 25 degrees, no matter what we changed the thermostat to, so the first night was a bit warm to sleep well. There was one small fan available in the room, so we got a second fan from the front desk, for the other side of the bed. Problem solved. Would recommend staying here.

The staff was great. The breakfast was the best ever- truly outstanding. The room was a nice size. Our room faced the street and it was noisy all night long. The location was good in the city, we could get anywhere easily. Highly recommend- bring earplugs if traffic bothers your sleep.

This is a great hotel from the moment you arrive. The staff are all friendly and very helpful with any questions you might have. Our room had a separate sitting room with a couch and chairs. There was a TV in both rooms. But the highlight has to be the breakfast buffet. Everything you can imagine, from 4 kinds of eggs, bacon, sausages, oatmeal, cereals, cheeses, an assortment of fresh bread, lox ... And much more. I have never seen a breakfast buffet like this in any hotel.

Easy to find as it’s a 10min walk from the tram straight from the airport. Welcoming staff. We had a recently upgraded room but the temperature control is non-existent. We were there during the festival so it was wedged but the restaurant more or less managed. It would be good if Scandic rated the quality of each hotel as we’d come from the Holberg in Oslo and it was not in the same league. Many of the less than positive reviews are worth reading.
