I paid for a king bed room through hotels.com prior to my arrival. Upon check-in, I was informed that only a standard queen room was available. Despite this downgrade, no adjustment to the price was offered, and the room provided was notably small and dirty.
The toilet became clogged around 10pm. Despite attempting to contact the front desk, I received no response. When I went to the lobby, it took over 5 minutes for an employee to assist me. Unfortunately, they informed me no plungers were available and suggested holding down the toilet lever to help it flush, which instead caused an overflow that I had to clean up myself. By morning, the toilet remained clogged.
Given this unacceptable experience, I promptly checked out.
To add to the substandard accommodations I received the $100 incidental fee has yet to be reimbursed. The process to cancel this transaction should be straightforward for the hotel staff.
