The place has seen better days. Everything is a bit past its prime. Old carpets, stains on the bathroom wall, poorly done paint jobs. Not terrible, but not great either. Room service policies are questionable as well: changing sheets every third day (or less) is fine, but that should not mean that trashcans are not emptied or consumables not being replaced. One shouldn't have to see the front desk every day to beg for yet another tiny bottle of shampoo and coffee.
The room had some nice touches, like a comfortable reading chair, but the shade of the reading light was all crooked, giving a rather cartoonish impression.
Breakfast was sugar-forward. Nothing to write home about.
Judging by the collection of chairs and dumpster in the parking lot, the building undergoes some renovations, which is a god thing.
Location, on the other hand is excellent (right off the university campus) and proximity to public transportation extremely convenient.
