This is easily the best value in downtown Toronto. My only real complaint was the lack of hot water, but outside of that, if you're looking for value and a place to stay that's very central, this is probably your best bet.

It’s an old hotel in Diwntown Toronto. The location is good but the hotel is quite old and needs renovation. Hot water in the room takes a long time to heat up.

There was a new employee and he was South-Asian working at the front desk. I couldn’t catch his name but despite him being new, he was very accommodating and made our trip super smooth. I was there for Toronto Pride. Thank you for helping us :)

Filmores is in a gritty corner of "old" Toronto. So many little restaurants on Dundas east, and plenty of local colour! Yes, there's a strip joint on the ground floor of the building, but that's what makes the place feel so authentic. Not for young families with children, but awesome for couples or singles, of any age, travelling on the cheap and looking for an urban experience. Staff was excellent!

No conditioner, toilet outside room and shower to. No breakfast included. So but everything outside is perfect: foods, drinks, walkway and shops is nearby. I recommend it for everyone traveler.
