I've been coming to Reading since I was a baby- it's expanded a lot! From the hotel the city centre is very walkable and there are great shopping and dining options. The trains to London or other locations are a good way to see more of the South.

London commuter town, nice in the evening, rough round the edges in the daytime and late at night. Typical of places where the people with the most money spend the least in the local area. Reminds me of Stoke, my home town.

Reading has a lot of nice bars and restaurants and like anywhere else it also has some dodgy bars but stay on the main drag and it's perfectly fine.

Reading is a little medieval town and also a college town along with international companies so I felt like that coupled with its proximity from Heathrow was alright. It felt more like a family neighborhood.

Reading has a lot of businesses and good transport links being on the M4
"Easy on-line check-in, friendly greeting by reception staff, spacious and comfortable bed and ideal bathroom facilities. Excellent breakfast, and more friendly service from the breakfast room ‘host’; a far better experience than many ‘superior’ hotels we’ve stayed at. Hotel well-situated for shops, restaurant, bars and public transport. "
"I love this hotel, this is my third stay, first time with the family.
The hotel overall is gorgeous in beautiful surroundings.
The restaurant was lovely as was the food and the cocktails and the service was impeccable.
The room was a family room and was huge! No falling over each other loads of space, plus an added touch the fan was already running when we got there as it was a warm day, thank you.
Tiny issue with team doors banging in the morning (not unreasonable time but nonetheless) but this will not stop booking another visit at all. "
"Great value hotel with pleasant, well equipped rooms and bathrooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good with plenty of options. Would recommend "
