There are dozens of fine hotels/motels in Bangor or neighboring towns that would be far better than ABVI. Bangor Maine offers a casino, regularly scheduled musical performances in a new waterfront pavilion as well as numerous fine dining restaurants.

To me Bangor is a memorable place. I used to stay there on my way up to Nova Scotia. Haven't been in a while. During my recent visit, I noticed the town had lost some of its quaintness. I believe, to me, it has to do with the casino, etc.

We know Bangor and have stayed in the area since the late 1970s. City has changed a lot. Still offers good quality shopping and restaurants. Easy to get around by car.

Love that the casino is there and the Maine amphitheater is there too
"I enjoy talking with front desk. Very personable. Breakfast choices are good. Coffee was delicious. Bed was comfortable. Thank you for being pet friendly.
Didnt like that expedia.com sold me a pet friendly hotel room at the Holiday Inn but when I arrived there was a 30 dollar pet fee. FYI, the following night I stayed at the Quality Inn, they do not charge their customers an added fee. "
"I wish they had more wheelchairs for the casino. It is as a long walk from the casino to the hotel room. Even a golf cart pick up for the handicapped would have been nice. I did appreciate that the hotel paid for my cab ride since we left for the airport before the normal shuttle service began. It was convenient to the airport and everything was very clean. "
"The convenience to the airport and rental return saved me!!! Check in reception was fantastic. I felt very safe and secure. It was also nice to be able to get something to eat and drink from the bar area. "
"Room was great, breakfast was plentiful and yummy! The only issue I had was that their WiFi was terribly slow and doesn’t even load anything. I couldn’t do any of my project online using their WiFi - Instead, I had to use my personal hotspot! Regardless, I really recommend the place and will definitely go back to stay when I need. "
