Sacramento is such a livable city. Affordable, attractive, friendly to middle and working class folk, as well as overpaid arrogant techies. Good mix of red and blue America. Great recreation. Biking, boating, books, bars, and beats. Ok, yes, hot.

I had a wonderful time. May is a good time to go. In addition to the Crocker Art Museum, see the Railroad Museum and the Car Museum. And Old Town. Plenty of things to do and see

Great city. River walk had some flooded areas. Difficult to dine downtown because roads and meters were blocked off. But good restaurants, locally owned, outside of the city.

Beautiful trees in the old neighborhoods. Lots of great restaurants, Old Sacramento, museums, all great! Freeway traffic is TERRIBLE. Travel early morning or late after 7pm.

DTWN Sacto is transitional at best - convention center and state capital are is nice, but Mansion Flats is older established neighborhood looking for gentrification.
